May 24, 2004 - Vivendi announced today that it is offering a special pre-order bonus for gamers hip enough to reserve a copy of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay at select retailers. What will those in the pre-know get? A bonus DVD stuffed with Riddick goodies, that's what. And here's what's on it:

    * A complete, interactive walk-through of one of the game's compelling levels

Vivendi Universal Games has announced that gamers looking to escape from Butcher Bay will score a bonus DVD when they pre-order their upcoming Xbox title, The Chronicles of Riddick. The DVD will contain a mini-hint guide, a full interactive walk through from one level of the game, a trailer for the Chronicles of Riddick feature film, a background of the Riddick himself, and an introduction to the "Normal Mapping" graphics technology used in the game.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is the highly anticipated and unbelievable looking action/adventure game starring Vin Diesel. Set before the events of both Universal Pictures' upcoming summer release, The Chronicles of Riddick, and 2000's breakout hit Pitch Black, which first introduced Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero Riddick, the game tells the story of Riddick's dramatic escape from the previously inescapable triple max security slam Butcher Bay, home to the most violent prisoners in the universe.

The game is expected in stores next week and has an MSRP of $49.99.
